Our Story
We’re a dedicated team of passionate professionals
Project managers and builders – who deeply believe in our vision to provide quality homes and investments at affordable prices to the market in New Zealand. The heart behind our vision is to continue to tackle New Zealand's housing affordability crisis, by providing efficient and affordable solutions to the market. We genuinely care about delivering projects in a cost-effective, timely, and Affordable manner - hence our name, CETA Homes.
A timeline of milestones
That team brings 40 years of experience across residential construction and the architectural space, from bespoke standalone homes designed around a single client and site, to medium density developments delivered at scale. Whichever side of the business you come to us through, the same people take your project from first concept to handover.

July 2020
Ceta is founded
Ceta Build Limited (20 July) and Ceta Developments Ltd (27 July) are incorporated, bringing design, development and construction under one roof. -
November 2021
Palm Terraces, Stanmore Bay
Our first project under the Ceta banner, completed 16 months after breaking ground in July 2020. -
2023
200 homes through COVID
Building through and beyond the pandemic, we delivered 200 homes across six projects. -
September 2024
Ceta Living launches
A new arm for our spec architectural homes, beginning with Elliot Street in Riverhead, with many more in the pipeline. -
2026
Our first community housing project
Nine new homes delivered in partnership with a local community housing group. -
Today
350+ homes and counting
350+ homes delivered, 50 due in 2027, and 40 community homes across 3 projects.

The team behind CETA
Jason Donnelly
Director
Jason has a proven track record and prides himself in the delivery of every project. With over $100 million dollars of real estate projects in the last five years alone, this has resulted in an amazing name and reputation of reliability. Jason believes in creating an honest and open environment with transparency with all parties involved, from our building partners right the way through to clients.
Nic Paterson
Director
Nic brings a wealth of business expertise and experience from his 30+ years of owning his own retail business. He started his career and business from the ground up. He is a believer in establishing good business values and principles as well as maintaining long-lasting relationships and partnerships. He is passionate about New Zealand and seeing young couples, families and investors succeed.
Russell Hilton-Jones
Director
Russell brings more than 35 years of residential build expertise to CETA. He has extensive knowledge of all forms of residential construction and a proven record of delivering projects to a high standard. Russell is responsible for CETA’s build delivery and provides leadership, mentoring and support to all areas of the business. Russell is passionate about seeing people position themselves and get real solutions from new homeowners.
Peter Hardy
Chief Financial Officer
Peter brings 20+ years of CFO experience across financial services, retail and property development. He is excited about this next chapter for CETA and is keen to use his experience to assist first home buyers and investors into the market. Peter will oversee and manage the funding and financial processes for CETA, ensuring that we always deliver on our commercial responsibilities.

All our homes have a 10-year implied warranty and we offer a 12-month defects period to ensure our homeowners are happy.
We specialise in providing housing to First Home Buyers and have a strong implementation of RA in our terraced townhouse developments.
We build high quality homes, are healthy homes provider, and homes are designed to a high standard that undergo a review process on all our floor plans to continually improve.
